Hyatt is a “Best Place to Work” in 2014

Hyatt has been honored as one of the Top 50 “Best Places to Work in 2014” by Glassdoor in its sixth annual Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards.  Unlike most workplace-related awards, which require companies to self nominate, Glassdoor, a jobs and careers community website, determines the annual award by relying solely on the input of employees, who voluntarily elect to provide feedback on their job, work environment and company through Glassdoor’s anonymous online company review survey.

Glassdoor is increasingly becoming one of the most utilized web sites for job seekers and career changers interested in finding out more about a company’s culture and the experience of working within a specific organization.

“Choosing where to go work is one of the most stressful decisions a person can make, and it’s natural for people to want more information so they can make better career decisions,” says Glassdoor spokesperson Samantha Zupan. “Being recognized by employees as a ‘Best Place to Work’ is no small achievement. The companies on our list are being honored as it’s a reflection of their commitment to employees to create a positive and enjoyable workplace.”

The positive feedback from the members of the Hyatt family who participated in the survey secured Hyatt the 26th spot on this list and a Top 50 distinction for the second consecutive year.

“At Hyatt, the satisfaction and well-being of our associates is fundamental to the success of our business, because they are the ones who provide hospitality to our guests each day,” said Robb Webb, chief human resources officer, Hyatt Hotels Corporation. “We’re proud that our associates continue to demonstrate their appreciation for our strong workplace environment and the values, diversity and culture that define us as a global company.”

The 50 Best Places to Work are determined using company reviews shared by U.S. based employees who elected to participate in the survey between November 14, 2012 and November 12, 2013. To be considered for the Best Places to Work list, a company must have at least 1,000 or more employees and have received at least 50 approved company reviews during the window of eligibility.  See the full list here:,19.htm
